From Bernier Island (24º25´S) to NE of Monte Bello Islands (20º26'S), WA, north east of Hinchinbrook Island QLD (17º59´S) and off Sydney, NSW; tropical, temperate, north-west Pacific (Japan), records from Australia may be of a new, undescribed species (See Kuiter, 2004).
