Ecological Descriptors

Adult: phloem feeder.

Extra Ecological Information

Nymph might be phloem feeder or fungivore.

 

Diagnosis

This species may be distinguished from other epigean Solonaima species by the broad anterior portion of the vertex (twice as wide at base as long in midline), the shape of the male genital segment (laterodorsal angles produced in short pointed processes) and the armament of the aedeagus. (Hoch 1988)
