Introduction

This cavernicolous species is only known from Queenslander Cave from the Chillagoe Karst in N. Queensland. The specific name refers to the blue halo-like fringe on the costal margin of the tegmina.

Adult: phloem feeder.

All stages: cave dweller.

Extra Ecological Information

Nymph might be phloem feeder or fungivore.

 

Diagnosis

This species can be differentiated from other species of the genus by the special spine configuration of the aedeagus. (Hoch 1988)
