Diagnosis
Body cylindrical. The anterior part produced into a flat rostrum, curving ventrally and forming, together with the second antennae, a ring which provides the means of attachment to the host. Oral region on the ventral surface of the body, at about one third of the length from the anterior end. Mouth-parts of chondracanthid type. Maxillipeds absent. Three pairs of thoracopods, the first two biramous, the third uniramous. Posterior part of the trunk with a pair of conical processes. Abdomen cylindrical, with well developed furca.
