Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore, volant.

Larva: wood-borer (associated flora: Allocasuarina fraseriana (Miq.) L.A.S.Johnson [CASUARINACEAE] Fraser's She-Oak (identification of host uncertain with larvae alternately occurring in Casuarina glauca)).

Extra Ecological Information

McMillan (1951) reports this species from dead limbs and trunks of Casuarina glauca; this was cited by Hawkeswood & Peterson (1982). Hawkeswood (1988) questioned the identification of the host plant, indicating that it might be either C. frasieriana or C. obesa.
