Williams (1977) and Hawkeswood (1978) recorded this species from flowers of Leptospermum flavescens (Myrtaceae); Hawkeswood (1981) recorded this species from flowers of Bursaria spinosa (Pittosporaceae); Williams & Williams (1983) recorded this species from Angophora hispida; Hawkeswood (1993) summarized the biology and hosts.
