Subfamily Scottiinae Bronstein, 1947

Diagnosis

Carapace small to medium sized, oviform, distally arched and ventrally flattened, smooth and often hirsute, especially in ventral area. Calcified inner lamella wide. Claws on all appendages short and strongly chitinised. Swimming setae on antenna strongly reduced. Caudal ramus symmetrical or asymmetrical, with both ramus and claws short and stout. Attachment simple.
