Diagnosis
Head with large setose vertexal foveae; antennal clubs formed by apical 3 antennomeres; often with small postantennal notches at lateral margins of head; ventrolateral margins of head smoothly concave beneath eyes; with prominent gular carina (moderate in a few species). Pronotum with antebasal sulcus between setose lateral antebasal foveae, median antebasal fovea lacking or small. Elytra with 2-3 basal foveae, with elongate discal striae, with subhumeral foveae and marginal striae or sulci. Visible tergite 1 (IV) with mediobasal foveae and setose impression; visible sternite 2 (IV) with deep setose basolateral sulci.
