This sexually dimorphic species is reasonably common and widespread in southeastern Australia and in SW Western Australia.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Male reddish or yellowish brown; veins of tegmen sometimes red or crown and pronotum largely crimson; scutellum yellowish red, laterally black. Tegmen costal third hyaline green, remainder black, veins red. Female pale brownish yellow; appendix and false appendix of tegmen sometimes smoky. Length ♂ 5.8–6.5 mm, ♀ 8–9.5 mm (Evans 1966).
