Type data:
Holotype ANIC ♂ (coll.: 21.iv.1964, I.F.B. Common & M.S. Upton), Shute Harbour, Queensland.
Introduction
This medium sized brown species is only known from the holotype from near Mackay on the central Queensland coast. The specific name is derived from an Aboriginal word for rainforest.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Smaller, more delicate and less setose than type species; clypeal lobes less well developed; lateral pronotal processes relatively longer and narrower, dorsal carina more strongly developed, tegmen hyaline, less dark than type species; veins more conspicuous; hind tibia pale brown. Length (holotype ♂), 7.2 mm (Day 1999).
