Introduction

Little is known about this smallish, yellow-brown species from the far north of the Northern Territory. It is not well represented in collections.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: gregarious, myrmecophilous, phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

General coloration brownish yellow. Vertex of head, pronotum and scutellum covered with fine hairs. Head and pronotum deep yellow. Scutellum concolorous with the pronotum, lateral muscle impressions sometimes dark brown. Tegmen with a covering of fine hairs, hyaline brown; veins brown or reddish; appendix with a pair of brown markings. Length ♂ 4.6 mm, ♀ 5.3 mm (Evans 1977).
