Type species:
Relipo oenpellensis Evans, 1977 by original designation.
Introduction
This genus, like Stenipo and Ipolo may be better included in Ipoides because of the close similarity in external morphology between the species in these genera. However, the male genitalia show some divergence, with Ipoides and Ipolo being more similar to each other than species of Stenipo or Relipo are to these genera and to each other. Relipo oenpellensis has a simple tubular aedeagus. Little is known of the biology of this species and whether further species may exist either in Australia or in Papua New Guinea.

Diagnosis
The anteclypeus, which lies at a lower level than the postclypeus, is anteriorly depressed. The postclypeus is convex and, though the epistomal suture is not apparent, the attachments of the cibarial muscles do not extend onto the frontal region. The ocelli, which lie close to the apices of the obscure epicranial suture, are prominent. The rounded crown is widest against the eyes. The tegmina, which are broadly rounded apically, have narrow appendices and numerous short veins between R and the costal margin. The hind tibiae each have a row of five strong spines, of which the most distal is mounted on an enlarged base. They bear, in addition, a row of small spines and another of long hairs. In the male genitalia, the subgenital plates are parallel-sided (Evans 1977).
