Patchy records from Coral Sea, QLD (14°S) and off Newcastle, NSW (33°07'S, 153°11'E) to Great Australian Bight, SA (34°04'S, 128°02'E) and Exmouth Plateau, WA (20°55'24"S, 112°51'30"E), Lord Howe Rise and Norfolk Island ridge; temperate, tropical, circumglobal.
