Subfamily Pylochelinae Spence Bate, 1888
Introduction
The subfamily Pylochelinae comprises only two genera, Pylocheles A. Milne Edwards, 1880, and Cheiroplatea Bate, 1888. Only a single species of Pylocheles is known from Australian waters.
Diagnosis
Shield incompletely separated from posterior part of carapace, linea transversalis being interrupted medially. Telson composed of two articulated plates. Propodus of fourth pereiopods with a line (rarely doubled) of spiniform or squamiform setae along ventral margin. (After Forest 1987).
