Introduction

Evans (1981) expressed doubts about the placement of this species in Protartessus because the structure of the aedeagus differed from the usual pattern in the genus. It has been recorded from Bulburin National Park in SE Queensland as well as from the type locality of Nyngan in the Darling Riverine Plains bioregion of New South Wales.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Pale brown. Face pale brown, postclypeus somewhat darker. pronotum pale brown, mottled anteriorly. Scutellum pale brown, lateral muscle impressions dark brown. Tegmen pale hyaline brown. Length ♂ 6 mm (Evans 1981).
