CRANGONIDAE: Parapontophilus abyssi (Smith, 1884) [apparently mistakenly recorded from NE Queensland by Davie (2002) (under P. gracilis abyssi). Komai (2008), in his revision, found no verified records from the Pacific, and considered the distribution of this species to be restricted to the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, but with no Australian records cited] — Komai, T. 2008. A world-wide review of species of the deepwater crangoid genus Parapontophilus Christoffersen, 1988 (Crustacea, Decapoda, Caridea), with descriptions of ten new species.
