This species is known from higher altitudes in SE New South Wales and Victoria.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Allied to the last [P. brighami Kirkaldy] but the head more elongate, the head and pronotum forming two-fifths of the entire length, and the lateral margins are concavely curved, the species thus falling into the typical subgenus. It differs from P. foveolatum Sign., by the much less spatulate head and less pointed tegmina. Length (female) 5 mm. (Kirkaldy 1907).
