Type species:
Sarnus lucindae Kirkaldy, 1906 by monotypy.
Introduction
This endemic genus contains two small brown species with characteristic tegmina from the wet tropics of North Queensland. The hind wings of the type species are rudimentary but those of O. scapularis are well developed and trilobed.

Diagnosis
Costal margin of fore wings concave on basal half. Hind wings rudimentary or well developed, trilobed: radius and CuA bifurcate and M, CuP, postcubitus, first and second anal veins simple; two crossveins aligned between second branch of radius and median and between median and first branch of CuA; second branch of CuA and CuP are fused and thickened towards apex of hindwing (Gnezdilov & Fletcher 2010)
