Introduction
This is a monospecific subfamily, endemic to Australia.
Diagnosis
Left valve with dorsal hump and slightly larger than right valve, right valve posteriorly with faint tubercles along external margin. Selvage well developed on left valve. Inner lamellae broad interiorly. Antennula 7-segmented. Swimming setae on antenna small and unequal. Terminal segment of maxillular palp trapezoidal. Prehensile palps symmetrical. Zenker's organ with 25 rows of spines. Caudal ramus with two long and almost equal claws. Both setae present. Attachment of caudal ramus with two dorsal projections.
