Introduction

This species is only known from the type locality in the North Kimberley bioregion of Western Australia. The specific name refers to the length of the pronotum which is diagnostically longer than that of N. yanda from Cape York Peninsula, Queensland.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

A medium sized species, pale in colour. Frontal margin markedly indented medially. Gena rounded. Costal margin of tegmen concolorous with remainder of veins. One half of subcostal cell coriaceous. Length (holotype ♂) 7.0 mm (Day 1999).
