Diagnosis

A small species (body length 4-6-1 mm) with long, narrow abdomen. Integumental colour black except for palps and ventral half of head yellow. Hairs on frons black. Reflective scales on scutum and tergites coppery-purple, those on scutellum green. Wing pattern with anterior margin dark brown, extending apically to distal dilation in cell rl and to cross-vein between R2+3 and R4. Posterior margin of wing hyaline; dividing line between the dark brown and hyaline areas distinct except in the median posterior extension of brown region between apex of dm and A1. Haltere knob yellow with dark brown anterior margin.
