Diagnosis
Integumental colour of head light brown, flagellum and apex of pedicel black. Labium 1.5x length of fore femur. Scutum black with postpronotal lobes and scutellum light brown. Legs light brown except coxae black. Pleurae black, posterior half of anepisternum brown in some specimens. Abdomen integumental colour black. Hairs on frons black. Reflective scales on scutum, scutellum and abdomen coppery-purple. Wings with well-defined brown infuscation on basal half, extending to an imaginary line drawn between apex of R1 and CuA1; apex hyaline. Haltere knob yellow. Body length 8.2-10.7 mm.
