Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore (associated flora: Actinotus helianthi Labill. [APIACEAE] Flannel Flower (on flowers); Eucalyptus spp. [MYRTACEAE] Gum Trees (on flowers); Leptospermum flavescens Sm. [MYRTACEAE] Tantoon (on flowers); Leptospermum spp. [MYRTACEAE] Tea-trees (on flowers); Kunzea ambigua (Sm.) Druce [MYRTACEAE] Tick Bush (on flowers); Conospermum sp./spp. [PROTEACEAE] (on flowers); Leptospermum polygalifolium Salisb. [MYRTACEAE] (on flowers)), volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Williams (1977) recorded this species from flowers of Leptospermum flavescens (Myrtaceae); Williams & Williams (1983) added Kunzea ambigua.
