Introduction

The Neocurina Holynski (1988) is monotypic, comprised solely of the 30 species of Neocuris Saunders which are all endemic to Australia. Two revisions are available, the first by Fairmaire (1877) and the more recent by Carter (1928). The larva of Neocuris gracilis Macleay was described by Volkovitsh & Hawkeswood (1987) and the most recent species, N. carnabyi was described by Barker (1999).
