Syntype(s) ZMA 8♂ 14♀ numerous immature, various localities in Indonesia (Siboga Expedition Stns 118, 128, 141, 143, 148, 165, 185, 203, 216, 243, 276).

Indo-Pacific Oceans (mostly between 20ºN–20ºS but extending to 40ºN within the Kuroshio Current, near Japan).
