Genus Nectamia Jordan, 1917

 

Introduction

Fraser (2008) revised the genus, with four new species.The older records of species in the genus need to be reexamined in light of this review. We have given only distributions that are covered in the revision. Specimens in AM have frequently been misidentified.

APOGONIDAE: Nectamia bandanensis (Bleeker, 1854) [records of Nectamia bandanensis from Australia based on misidentifications of other species including, Nectamia savayensis, N. luxuria and N. viria; although currently unknown from Australia, species does occur in Halemida beds in New Guinea and probably occurs in Australia] — Fraser, T.H. 2008.
