Revision of the Indo-Pacific holocentrid fishes of the genus Myripristis, with descriptions of three new species. Indo-Pacific Fishes 25: 1-61 figs 1-12 pls 1-9 [16] (type supposedly from Knob or Nob Island, northern Australia, but purchased from a sailor who indicated the specimens came from northern Australia, but Castelnau indicated that he did not know where the locality actually was; this species is not currently known from Australia and only known from the north and central Pacific; Knob Island is not a name in use today in Australia, but there is a Nob Island, off Cape Grenville in Queensland)
