Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Yellow. Male genitalia with apical process of styles long. Aedeagus with shaft curved posteriorly with a short medial process between posterolateral processes. Female genitalia as in M. tasmaniensis Evans [Second valvulae with teeth indistinct. Expanded apex of third valvulae nearly 1½ times length of narrow basal region and extended about 4/5 its length beyond pygophore], pregenital sternite unknown. Length: ♂ 3.8 mm, ♀ 5.5 mm (Webb 1983).
