Introduction

This yellow species with variable brown markings is only known from females. It is recorded from Tasmania and from Katoomba in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Yellow marked with brown on anterior margin of head, medial region of face, on pronotum and scutellum, veins of forewing and dorsum of abdomen. Female genitalia with posterior margin of pregenital sternite with a small medial notch, second valvulae with teeth indistinct. Expanded apex of third valvulae nearly 1½ times length of narrow basal region and extended about 4/5 its length beyond pygophore. Length ♀ 6.2 mm. Male unknown (Webb 1983).
