Extra Distribution Information

At least four relict populations occur in QLD: Jardine River, Cape York Peninsula (11º08´S) and Mua Island, Torres Strait; sand plain country around McIvor River (15º09´S); small tributary streams along north side of Daintree River (16º08´S); and on narrow coastal plain between Cairns (16º55´S) and Cardwell (18º16´S); also reported from Finniss River, NT (130º35'E); tropical; the NT population is genetically divergent from the Cape York population (Cook et al. 2014), New Guinea
