Introduction

An unremarkable small brown leafhopper identifiable by examination of the male genitalia. The species name is based on the type locality on Barrow Island although a long series of specimens was collected at Nullagine in the Pilbara.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

This species differs from other Australian species of the genus in having the aedeagus shorter and broader with indications of the gonopore apparent in the concavity of the dorsal margin when viewed laterally and in having the subgenital plates more or less ovate and lacking a distinct angle where the outer and inner margins meet (Fletcher and Dai 2018).
