Diagnosis

L. perlucida resembles L. elongata by the colour of the tegmina, but it can be immediately distinguished by the size of the head which is less broad. The male can be easily distinguished from all other species by the very characteristic shape of the aedeagus. The female has a very distinct lamellate process which is totally lacking in L. elongata (Van Stalle 1992).
