Holotype BPBM ♂ (coll: J.L. & M. Gressitt, 18.iii.1961, 5m), Maningrida, Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.
Introduction
This dark brown species is only known from Maningrida in the Northern Territory.

Diagnosis
L. cornuta is a dark brown species with short male genitalia and therefore somewhat ressembling L. gemina [New Guinea] and L. koebelei [Queensland]. It can be distinguished from these species by the combination of the following characters: medioventral process on pygofer lacking and dorsolateral margin triangular; aedeagus with three long spines (Van Stalle 1992).
