Extra Distribution Information
Ng & Chia (1997: 435) state that this species is 'known for certain only from northeastern and eastern Australia', however paratypes are also reported from Nickol Bay, Dampier, NW Australia. There seems to be some confusion, as they also state that they have 'seen records, photographs or specimens clearly belonging to [the closely related] L. pictor from northwestern Australia' but that 'it is not yet known to be sympatric with L. erinnyes'.
