- Tangia carnolabrum Chan, W.L. 1970. A new genus and two new species of commercial snappers from Hong Kong. Hong Kong Fisheries Bulletin 1: 19-38 [20-23, 27-33, pl. 1, figs 1-9a] [derivation is apparently from the Latin caro = flesh or carneus = fleshy + labrum = rim or lip and is a noun].
