Species Kuranda notata Distant, 1907

Compiler and date details

14 January 2011 - Murray J. Fletcher

Introduction

A delicate pale-coloured derbid with a line of four small dark spots along the centre of the tegmen. Distant (1907) also noted that there was a colour variant which had an irregular dark stripe on the tegmen as well as the spots. This indicates that the type series comprised more than one specimen. The species has only been identified from Kuranda, in the wet tropics of North Queensland.
