Introduction
This tribe was first recognised as a distinct group by Muir (1913) who called it the "Otiocerus group". In 1917, he defined the subfamily Otiocerinae and, in 1918, the tribe Otiocerini, all using the same features of the tegminal venation.
Diagnosis
Clavus open, the cubital veins not reaching the hind margin but meeting the extended claval vein which extends to the last apical cell (Muir 1918)
Stridulatory plate with concave external margin (Emeljanov 1996).
