Species Kraemeria merensis Whitley, 1935

Mer Sand Dart

Introduction

Frequently identified as K. samoensis but Australian material does not conform to the description of that species. Hoese (2006) recognised K. samoensis merensis Whitley, 1935 as a distinct species and referred Australian material to this taxon. A full revision of the family is required. Records of Kraemeria samoensis from Cocos (Keeling) Islands needs confirmation. Several species are often identified as K. samoensis.
