Type data:
Holotype AM ♂ (coll.: viii.1958, R.A. O'Brien), Innisfail, Queensland.
Introduction
This very small species is known from a series of specimens from Innisfail in the wet tropics of North Queensland. Evans (1973) also recorded it from Eramboe in Papua New Guinea. It is distinctive in its colouring.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: gregarious, myrmecophilous, phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
General coloration pale tortoise-shell. Head and pronotum dull ochre. Scutellum medially coffee brown, laterally and posteriorly black. Tegmen hyaline brown with or without a variable patter of dark brown and white. Length ♂ 4 mm (Evans 1966).
