Holotype SAMA ♂ (coll.: v.1945, D.C. Swan), Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
Introduction
A boldly marked species from the tropical parts of Western Australia and the Northern Territory. It was originally described from Papua New Guinea.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: gregarious, myrmecophilous, phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Head, but for the vertex, yellowish ivory with a median longitudinal dark brown stripe. Vertex pale brown irregularly mottled with chestnut brown. Crown and pronotum pale chestnut brown mottled with yellowish ivory. Scutellum deep chestnut brown with two pale semicircular markings. Tegmen pale hyaline brown with irregular white markings; veins white, brown in part. Legs very pale brown. Length 5 mm (Evans 1947).
