Type data:
Holotype QM I.38176, found washed up on the beach of Alexandria Bay, Noosa Heads, southeast QLD.
Paratype(s) QM I.29079, north side of Mujimba Island, Mujimba, QLD; QM I.37621 4 specimens, Shag Rock, east side off North Stradbroke Island, QLD.

Known only from a limited area from Noosa Heads to North Stradbroke Island, southern QLD (26-27°S, 153°E); tropical.
Australian Endemic.
