Diagnosis
Both sexes can be easily recognized by their specific abdominal colour pattern with pale stripes . Males resemble those of H. pictus-group but have ridges at the retrolateral tip of the retrolateral tegular apophysis; females resemble those of H. tasmaniensis but have the spermathecae far removed from the epigastric fold.
