Holotype WAM 715.79, 0.6 km SW of road along N side of Napier Range, 5.9 km NW of Yammera Gap, Napier Range, WA.

Introduction
Gyliotrachela australis napierana can be distinguished from the nominal subspecies by the smaller size, more strongly developed apertural teeth and the greater upward deflection of the last whorl. This species is confined to the Napier Range in the KImberley, northern Western Australia.

Diagnosis
Shell tiny, dark brown, trochoid with a prominent peripheral angle and subperipheral sulcus; sculpture of spiral threads and weak axial growth threads; last whorl trumpet-like and flared, detached from shell and deflected upward; aperture ovate with very strongly developed parietal and palatal teeth, accessory teeth prominent; umbilicus open; height 2.0mm.
