Off Forster, NSW (32º50'S 153º06'E) to off western TAS (42º16'S, 144º41'E) and off the Northwest Shelf, NW of Port Hedland, WA (18º40'S, 116º30'E), also Lord Howe Rise and Macquarie Island; non-equatorial, temperate, cold temperate, polar, discontinuous, circumglobal (Atlantic, north-west and south-west Pacific).
