Introduction
This species is intermediate in colouring between E. rubrovittata (Amyot & Serville), which tends to have more black than red, and E. generosa (Stål) which has more red than black. The three species show differences in male genitalia but an examination of the species limits using molecular data may show that they comprise one highly variable species. E. latifascia is found across southern Australia from SW Western Australia to the Sydney basin in New South Wales.
