Introduction

This species has been recorded from many localities in the northern parts of the Northern Territory. It is the largest species of the genus.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: xylem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

This species can be distinguished from E. carnifex (Fabr.) by its large body size, the lateral plates more elongated with reduced ventral process, the large angle between ventral and posterior processes, the lack of overlap between lateral and subgenital plates and the missing dark spots on the hindwings (Liang, et al. (2012).
