Distribution
Extra Distribution Information
Circum-subtropical, extending into tropics in Indian Ocean and on western sides of Atlantic and Pacific, absent from the eastern boundary currents of the Pacific.
Ecological Descriptors
Diurnal, epipelagic, mesopelagic, oceanic province.
Extra Ecological Information
Adults often at 300–500 m depth during the day, rising to shallower than 100 m at night.
