Introduction

This evenly pale brown species is known from around the Brisbane area of SE Queensland. The name reflects this uniform colouring.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Body and tegmen yellow brown with transverse markings on frontoclypeus and line of six indistinct spots across front margin of crown dark brown. Face of head with lora enlarged but not bulbous, overlapping anterior part of anteclypeus further than posterior part. Frontoclypeus evenly convex. Ocelli on anterior margin of head, distinct, adjacent to frontoclypeal suture. Crown slightly convex, without depressions, shagreen. Pronotum indistinctly transversely striate. Scutellum shagreen. Tegmen with M3+4 and CuA1 not united, both reaching apical margin. Tegmen with 5 apical cells (Fletcher & Condello 1994).

Fletcher & Condello (1994) also described and figured the male genitalia which are diagnostic for the species.
