Subtribe Paralimnina Distant, 1908
Compiler and date details
6 August 2013 - Murray J. Fletcher
Introduction
This subtribe is by far the larger of the two recognised by Zahniser & Dietrich (2013) and includes all the Australian genera of Paralimnini. The other tribe is the Palaearctic Aglenina Dmitriev which includes a single monotypic genus.
Diagnosis
Paralimnina can be distinguished from Aglenina by their smaller size and their coloration, which is typically not black and yellow as in Aglena ornata Herrich-Schäffer (Zahniser & Dietrich 2013).
