Diagnosis

Yellow with anteclypeus, transverse muscle impressions on frontoclypeus, transverse line at base of frontoclypeus and line of six spots across anterior margin of crown chocolate brown. Tegmen reddish ochre, paling to hyaline anterior to M1+2. Face of head with lora swollen, bulbous, meeting medially. Anteclypeus sunken, visible as small triangle posteriorly and recurved lip anteriorly; very occasionally lora not quite meeting allowing anteclypeus to be visible very narrowly in midline. Gena raised to level of lorum against frontoclypeus, otherwise depressed. Frontoclypeus evenly convex, shagreen. Crown flat, slightly longer in centre than against eyes, anteriorly roundly obtusely angulate, shagreen, without coronal suture. Pronotum smooth, with a few transverse wrinkles. Scutellum shagreen. Tegmen with M3+4 and CuA1 not united, CuA1 either terminating before margin (tegmen with 4 apical cells) or reaching apical margin (tegmen with 5 apical cells) (Fletcher & Condello 1994).

Fletcher & Condello (1994) also described and figured the male genitalia.
